Default Hey Guys

ExCop here..sorry for the long absence! Been a busy time.

First things first - I continue to beat the cancer beast, and my scans are still clean. Seem to be fully recovered from all post-chemo effects, etc. although still have post-surgical issues I'm working through.

Next, I am umpiring again this year and so far all is good. No controversy, no EJs - just nice easy games it seems.

Finally, I got a new job and you're not going to believe this but they gave ExCop a badge again and a nice little promotion. No street work, all investigation and case management, straight days, etc. More work, but a surprisingly easy transition back into law enforcement.

Hope all of you are doing well too, and I'll catch up with you in the forums!

Oh BTW, we will not recognize you as the real "ExCop" until we have a good ejection story. LOL

Sorry to disappoint, but I am realllly trying to see if I can change anything to prevent ejections, while not compromising on the need to address poor behaviour. For example, last night I was getting the mouth from a pitcher who didn't like a number of calls. I looked over to the dugout and stared at the Manager, who got the hint, asked for time and went out to speak to his pitcher. No more mouth after that, so in this case it worked. Noted.

I remain skeptical, of course, but I wish to remove from the equation anything I may be doing (or not doing) that contributors towards the escalation of situations that lead to ejections.

I will, naturally, keep you all informed as to my progress in this exercise of self-reflection....

Ex, (Copalinski???)you never disappoint. Keep up your regimen. I have a large, extended family and have lost 2 aunts, 1 uncle, my Momo (grandmother), and a sister to the big C. Several other family members have recovered after treatment. Keep calling strikes and out.
